Fine Art

Berlin, Germany

Practice

Fine art photography
Experimental portraiture
Installation documentation

Introduction:

Otto Vale is a fine art photographer working with staged scenes, projection, and image distortion. His photographs often begin as temporary installations made from fabric, light, mirrors, and found objects. The camera becomes a way to preserve those unstable environments before they disappear. Otto’s work explores the border between documentation and invention, asking whether a photograph can function as evidence of something imagined. His palette is often dark, muted, or monochrome, interrupted by moments of sharp reflection or artificial color. He exhibits in artist-run spaces and collaborates with performers, sound artists, and independent publishers. His images are atmospheric, fragmented, and deliberately unresolved.
